Vancouver, British Columbia, October 28, 2026 - TheNewswire – Westward Gold Inc. (CSE: WG, OTCQB: WGLIF, FSE: IM50) (“Westward” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Andrew Lee to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective October 28, 2026. Mr. Lee will serve as Independent Director, replacing Mr. Allan Fabbro, who has acted in that role since June of 2023.

Mr. Lee brings over 15 years of experience in mining finance, capital markets and strategy to Westward. He currently serves as Vice President, Finance at Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. (“Wheaton”), where he oversees corporate finance and treasury, and plays a key role in evaluating, structuring and executing streaming and royalty transactions and strategic investments. Prior to joining Wheaton in 2017, Mr. Lee held various positions at BHP Group in Singapore, focusing on global commodity markets and corporate strategy. He also serves as a director of Pacific Empire Minerals Corp. Mr. Lee holds a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics and Economics from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Mr. Colin Moore, President, CEO and Director, noted: “On behalf of the board and management of Westward, I’d like to extend our deep gratitude to Al for his service over these last several years – which have been transformative for the Company. He will continue to be a valuable advisor and supporter as we endeavour to execute on our corporate strategy. We’re also very excited to welcome Andrew to the team; his experience and guidance will be hugely beneficial as we embark on our next stage of growth.”

Mr. Andrew Lee, incoming Independent Director, commented: “Having followed Westward closely for several years as an early shareholder, I have developed a strong appreciation for the quality of its assets, the strength of its technical team and the significant exploration potential of its Nevada portfolio. The Company has established a compelling district-scale land position in one of the world's most prolific gold-producing regions. I am excited to join the board at this important stage of the Company’s development and look forward to working alongside the team as Westward advances its exploration strategy and pursues its next phase of growth.”
